Board of Directors
Alycia grew up in a small prairie town in southwestern Minnesota where she fell in love with nature and learned the importance of community engagement and public service. Alycia has made a career out of her greatest passion: empowering and equipping people of faith to be strong advocates for environmental stewardship and policy, a calling and vocation nurtured by her education and experience at her beloved alma mater: Luther College.
Alycia’s nonprofit leadership and service has included The Center for Spirituality in Nature, Ohio Interfaith Power & Light, Sustainable Cleveland, Sojourners, GreenFaith, Wisconsin IPL, Lutheran Coalition for Public Policy in MN (now called Lutheran Advocacy – MN), Congregations Caring for Creation (now MN IPL), and Lutherans Restoring Creation. Much of her time now is spent trying to usher her nature-loving children into a better, more just world. She and her family live in Cleveland Heights, Ohio and attend Fairmount Presbyterian Church where she leads a Spirituality in Nature Group (SING).
