God revealed Godself in flesh and the stuff of the world, which makes our spiritual lives look an awful lot like coming home, here in the world that God gave us. That means our care for creation and our fight for environmental justice are deeply embedded in the peace, hope, and love of God! We should take Jesus seriously when he says that he came for us to have “life and have it to the full,” (John 10:10) even as we do the hard work he has called us to.
