The Earth Sings Beauty – A concert by the National Lutheran Choir

The National Lutheran Choir’s 2021-2022 season will culminate at The Earth Sings Beauty featuring the world premiere of Lament of the Earth, the Dale Warland Singers Commission Award-winning new work with music by Steve Heitzeg and text by Susan Palo Cherwien.

Scored for choir, soloist, percussion, and strings, and featuring acclaimed mezzo-soprano Clara Osowski and the Minnesota Boychoir, Lament of the Earth delves into the symbiotic relationship between humanity and the natural world, bringing us all closer to the living being on which we live. The Earth Sings Beauty will also include other favorites such as Ērik Ešenvalds’ Stars and Eric Whitacre’s i thank you God for most this amazing day, transforming this world premiere event into a remarkable celebration of the earth.
