Churches of the ELCA are organized nationally into nine Regions. Depending on how many ELCA churches are in a vicinity, a synod office is organized per geographic Area which gathers clergy and lay leaders at least annually and is served by a Synodical Bishop.
We would like to ensure there are Care for Creation ministry efforts happening in all of our 65 ELCA synods, but we aren’t there yet.
As you can see on this map (click here) we have a liaison in each Region across the nation – so feel free to contact that person to get involved as locally as possible!
If you are in a synod without a liaison listed please feel free to contact us directly at info@lutheransrestoringcreation.org. If you feel called to serve as a liaison check out the role description (click here).
