Rest for the Beloved

Slow down...
•Stay a moment with a particular plant every day
• Slow down and nourish yourself when eating, thinking about all the hands that enabled your plate to be full
•Plan out errands to be done at once in one area locally and try walking in between stops.

Listen to the silence...
•Start a "noticing" journal where you write down just three things a day that grabbed your attention.
• Be ALONE, without anyone or thing to interact with for 5 minutes each day.
• Have an electronic curfew once a week (starting at dinner time perhaps?)... see if the rest of your household will take up the challenge.
• Next time you walk outside, don't touch your phone

Less is More
• Make presents for people or give them an experience (cook, pet-sit, movie-night,

• Try a purchase fast for a few weeks... buy only necessities.
• If you are a meat-eater, try just flavoring with it or reduce your intake to once-a-week
• Pick a night of the week to turn off the lights by 7pm (camp-in night? cozy candles? early bedtime?)
