Rooted and Rising is for everyone who worries about the climate crisis and seeks spiritual practices and perspectives to renew their capacity for compassionate, purposeful, and joyful action.
This collection of voices offers a glimpse into the very wide array of effective actions that are building paradigm shifts. The variety and integrity of the commentators is very useful in seeing a broader perspective of what it means to work for environmental justice. Because it is more personally reflective and less academic than other resources, it is accessible for all of us to share with each other as a tool of the heart rather than the ego. It offers a glimpse as well to a host of witnesses who are currently guiding a heart-felt counter to the apathy and ignorance that hangs over us these past few decades. A true gift that offers fuel for the long-term work we have ahead of us as we learn to share our common home.
