This Creation Care Catechism is an excellent resource honoring our Christian traditions and forcing us to think about them in a new ecological light. The catechism goes through each line of the Lord’s Prayer, the 10 commandments and the Apostle’s Creed and dissects them with clarity while adding a new perspective on how it relates to our care of creation. Each page has historical context (What is this?/How does this come about?), thoughtful application (think!), a way of acting as a steward of creation (act!), and a way to create art or a projects (create!).
We thank Deacon Jason Fisher, DEM of Central Southern Illinois Synod for his authorship of this work. If you would like to use this catechism, please share your thanks with him at: jason.fisher@csis-elca.org.
